Classic Car and Bike Show Scheduled for Old Towne Petersburg Mark your calendars now for Thursday Night Thunder in Old Towne. Join car and motorcycle enthusiasts as they peruse hundreds of classic cars and bikes, parked right in the midst of this vibrant downtown shopping and dining district. This merchant driven gathering is sponsored by the City of Petersburg Department of Tourism and is supported by local businesses. The show is free to the public and participants. All makes and models of vehicles are welcome to participate. Parking for Show vehicles is in the reserved lots on the corner of N. Sycamore St. and E. Bank St. Thursday Night Thunder begins at 5pm and runs until 9pm every Thursday night from April to October. Cars may begin arriving at 4:30pm to set up. Arrivals will continue through the evening until the parking lots are full. The parking area is vast, but come early to get a prime space to show off your ride. While in Old Towne, check out the hip shops, yummy restaurants, art galleries and historic architecture of the Cockade City. Enjoy live music at many venues, including The Petersburg Foundation’s Thursdays in Old Towne.
